Newsletter for the Holidays and 2023 :)

Happy Halloween! I wanted to let you know that we’ve set the date for next year’s Wizarding Celebration. It will be Saturday, July 29th and we will have a few changes to ensure that everyone gets enough time to do everything and does not have to wait in a long line. We plan to offer free tickets through eventbrite and you will be able to pick your starting point from the 20 or so businesses that participate. That way no more than 15 people will start at each place and everyone will be spread out evenly. We hope to add another hour too so you won’t feel rushed. The theme will be Chamber of Secrets.

I wanted to quickly let you know about a few other things we have in the works. All of December we will be displaying trees in our back lot from local businesses, schools, sports teams, service organizations, churches, and clubs. The idea is to be as creative as you can using recyclables or other items you have on hand for the ornaments (and to not spend much money). The grand opening will be on December 2nd before and during the City of Fairfield’s tree lighting ceremony. We will also have a table for kids to write their letters to Santa. If you are part of any group interested in decorating a tree, please sign up to set it up some time in November at https://form.jotform.com/snjrose/ff . Visitors will vote for their favorites and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be announced after Christmas. We hope that you will visit our Festive forest even if you don’t decorate a tree! We will be collecting canned food for the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano Counties and new unwrapped toys for the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation. The collection barrels will be outside in the forest during our regular hours.

Those who write a letter to Santa on December 2nd or drop off their letters at Legendary Letters before December 15th, may receive a free reply back from Santa. Every year we choose at least 100 letters (that have complete return addresses) to reply to. We have received a few donations this year that will allow us to write even more. We are hoping to do up to 200 free replies. Note that the free letters are not personalized. If you prefer a completely custom letter from Santa for the children in your family, they are available in our online shop for $11 each and you would be helping us to continue spreading magic wherever we can. All the letters to Santa that we collect will go to the Macy’s Believe program which donates $1 for every letter to the Make a Wish Foundation.

Lastly, we are now offering Wizarding Parties in our outdoor venue. They are somewhat similar to the Wizarding Celebration, but for just you and 7 guests (and up to 6 chaperones for children’s parties.) Right now we have a party theme for First Year new students, but will be adding more as soon as we can. If you think you might be interested, please click on the “Parties” link on our site for more info.

That’s all the news here! Happy Halloween!

Team Up with VnA’s Gingy House in Suisun, CA!

Good Day Sacramento visited VnA’s Gingy House in Suisun, CA today! Thank you for the shout to Legendary Letters too! We had so much fun teaming up with them this year during the pandemic, that we’ve decided to continue next year too. We will donate up to 200 free Santa replies in 2021 instead of the regular 100 replies that we’ve done for the past 7 years.

Hopefully Christmas next year will be back to normal and children can again write their letters to Santa Claus at our booth at the City of Fairfield’s Tree Lighting the first Friday in December. Kids will also be able to drop off letters to Santa in downtown Fairfield at Legendary Letters and VnA’s Gingy House on Shoveller Drive in Suisun up until December 18th. For those who live outside Solano County, you can send letters to Santa through the mail any time throughout the year using this address:

Merry Christmas from Elf Stacy, Elf James, Elf Hunter, and Elf Logan!

Send your letters to us for a chance at getting free magical mail!

Each year at Christmas, we have had a booth at the city of Fairfield’s tree lighting where people can write letters to Santa Claus. The first 100 letters we receive there get a response from Santa and all go to the Macy’s Believe Program to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation. This year due to the pandemic, it is unlikely that we will have the booth like we usually do. Instead, we’d like to invite you to send us your letters to Santa and anyone else you or your children would like to write to! We have gotten letters to the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Batman, Harry Potter, Minerva McGonagall, Cupid, and many more. We will randomly select 100 people to receive a response and we will still give all letters to the Make a Wish Foundation at the end of the year so they can collect $1 for each from Macy’s.

Please address your letters like so:

(Magical Being of your choice)
c/o Legendary Letters
707 Kentucky Street
Fairfield, CA 94533

P.S. Don’t forget to include a return address or the magical being(s) won’t know where to write you back. 🙂
